Nagpur: SGR MS Dhoni Cricket Academy started their campaign in the Adv Sudeep Jaiswal Cup Under-19 Cricket Tournament on a winning note after they beat Nagpur District Cricket Association by 72 runs at their Khandala ground.
Batting first, SGR MSDCA posted 178 for eight in 20 overs. Nitya Narang top-scored with 38 runs while Hrishikesh Bhogade added 22. For Nagpur District, Prasad Khumkar took two wickets. In reply, NDCA were all out for 104 runs. Rohan Kolte (37) and Arin Dande (22) were the run scorers. For the winners, Ameya took three wickets while Amrish P and Shreenav took two each.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Adv Roshan Bagde, President, District Bar Association. Adv Ashish Nagpure, Vice-President, Adv Manish Randive, Secretary, Supriya Sudeep Jaiswal, Satish Payal, Shivani Payal, Hemant Purke, Mangesh Raut, Seema Mohta, Prashik Jangam, Subham Tamgadge were also present.
Adv Ashwin Jawade conducted the inauguration programme.
