Nagpur: Pappu Advani, owner of the Advani Dhaba on Nagpur-Chandrapur Road, has been placed under arrest for his alleged involvement in the liquor smuggling racket which was behind the murder of sub-inspector Chhatrapati Chide near Nagbhid on November 8. Police have so far arrested 19 persons and rounded up a minor.
Chandrapur police, who have already managed to nab liquor mafia Shahzad Shaikh and driver of the killer vehicle Chhotu Bangali, have managed to procure the custody of the 19 accused in the case till November 20.

The minor has been sent to the remand home.sources had already referred to the involvement of a dhaba on Nagpur-Chandrapur Road from where the liquor consignment had been sent. The vehicle, ferrying the consignment, had crushed PSI Chide to death at a nakabandi in an attempt to flee the spot.
