Nagpur News:Two incidents of suicides, including by an advocate, were reported in Nagpur.
According to police, the first incident, Adv Abhijit Ashok Selokar (29), aresident of Shaniwari, Cotton Market, took the drastic step by hanging to a ceiling fan hook with the help of “Odhni). Abhijit was being alone in the house and committed suicide at about 5.30 pm. He dropped his wife at the house of his maternal uncle and took the extreme step. However, before ending his life, Abhijit phoned a lawyer friend and told him to take away his file himself as he was committing suicide. The friend immediately rushed to Abhijit’s house but he was too late. Abhijit had already “finished the job” before his friend’s arrival. Abhijit had got married just six months ago. Abhijit was a liquor addict and the hot exchange of words between him and wife was a regular feature. His financial condition was also good. However, Abhijit did not leave any suicide note that would have helped the reason for his taking the drastic step. Ganeshpeth police have registered a case of accidental death.
In the second incident, Raju Jog, a resident of Jaibhim Nagar, under Ajni Police Station jurisdiction, committed suicide by hanging to a ceiling hook with the help of a nylon rope. Police reached the spot and after completing the paper works, sent body of Raju to Government Hospital for post-mortem. Ajni police have registered a case of accidental death.
