Nagpur: The controversy surrounding the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s Vajramuth meeting held at the Darshan Colony ground still persists, with members of the Sadbhavana Nagar-Darshan Colony Maidan Bachao Action Committee and BJP office-bearers joining forces to protest against the MVA leaders. In a unique demonstration, they cleaned the ground and sprinkled cow urine while reciting mantras to purify it. It is pertinent to mention that, a similar protest was organised by the BJP after MVA’s Aurangabad rally.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi’s Vajramuth meeting held at the Darshan Colony ground in East Nagpur has caused major controversy, with locals opposing it before and after the meeting. Despite the ongoing dispute, the meeting was held on Sunday, and organizers began clearing the chairs and other materials from the site on Monday. However, later in the afternoon, BJP workers stormed inside the ground and started their unique demonstration.
According to residents, the entire ground was purified by priests who used Gangajal and cow urine. The protest was carried out by locals who were opposed to the meeting being held on the Darshan Colony ground, and who felt that it was a breach of their rights.
The dispute over the meeting went to court, but the MVA leaders decided to go ahead with it despite the opposition. The controversy over the Vajramuth meeting is likely to continue, with residents expressing their dissatisfaction with the use of the Darshan Colony ground for political events.
