Nagpur: In what could be termed as miraculous, a woman and her two daughters escape unhurt in a car mishap which occurred near Kurvey’s New Model High School, Shraddhanand Peth-Diksha Bhumi Square, Nagpur, at around 12:15 pm today.
Sama Rupesh Rathi aged 37 years and a resident of Dhantoli Mehadia Square was returning home in her White coloured Honda Jazz bearing RTO registration No MH-31/EU-5587 from Laxmi Nagar to Dhantoli. She was driving the vehicle herself and was accompanied by her two daughters who were both seated in the front passenger seat.
As the accident was described it seems her daughter’s chocolate had fallen down on the floor of the car and she was trying to locate it when she accidently touched Sama’s foot. Sama panicked as her daughter’s hand touched her foot. Instead of stepping on the brake, she stepped on the accelerator and the car hit the road divider. The speed of the vehicle was such that the moment the vehicle hit the road divider it turned turtle. The Honda Jazz took two rolls before it came to halt.
Eye-witnesses claimed that the speed of the vehicle was extremely fast so when the vehicle hit the road divider the impact sent it turtle. However, some other eye-witnesses claimed that if the speed had been 70 kmph then the mishap would have been even more severe. On impact both the air-bags in the front opened and all the passengers in the front were secured. Sama and her two daughters were saved and they escaped without even a scratch.
Sama’s husband Rupesh is said to be a cloth merchant in Mehadia Square and had a shop named S R Garments in Mehadia Square. Since Sama’s husband chose to get the vehicle repaired on his own, the cops of Bajaj Nagar Police Station have registered a case of accident.
