The police have been working closely with community leaders to promote peace and harmony in Nagpur, the CP said. Sources claimed that the office of the Director General of Police (DGP) Maharashtra has directed all police units in the state to intensify efforts to maintain law and order in the backdrop of communal violence in Akola.

The Cyber Police Station officials are monitoring social media platforms to identify persons spreading hate messages. The CP has warned that stern action will be taken against such individuals.
