A young thief was caught red handed while attempting to steal booty from the residence of Jagannath Narayan Pethekar (58), a resident of Annapurna Nagar, Pimpla Road on Monday.
According to information, Jagannath locked the house and went to attend a wedding ceremony at Celebrations Lawn, Hudkeshwar Road on Monday evening. The thief, Mukesh Rajendra Meshram (19) broke the main door lock and entered the house. While he as busy stealing booty from the house, Jagannath’s neighbours noticed Mukesh and alerted others. They grabbed the thief red-handed and handed him to Hudkeshwar police.

Cops registered an offence under Sections 457, 380, and 511 of the IPC against Mukesh, a resident of New Khalasi Line, Kamptee and took him into custody.
