Alexis Hospital renamed as Max Super Speciality Hospital; Max Healthcare announces acquisition in Nagpur

Nagpur: Max Healthcare Institute Ltd, one of India’s largest private healthcare provider, today announced the successful acquisition of Alexis Multi Speciality Hospital. Following the successful acquisition of Alexis Hospital, it will now be called Max Super Speciality Hospital, Nagpur.

Max Healthcare has acquired Alexis Multi-Speciality Hospital Private Limited for an Enterprise Value of Rs 412 crores. This acquisition aligns with Max Healthcare’s mission to provide best-in-class clinical care to patients in Western and Central India.

The acquisition will bring about operational synergies, enhance efficiencies in healthcare delivery. Max Healthcare is dedicated to ensuring continuity of care and a smooth integration process, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of medical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Commenting on the acquisition, Mr. Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director, Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., said: “We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of Alexis Hospital. Answering to a question at press conference held on Friday at the facility, Soi said, “Our focus at the moment is not to restructure the hospital but to increase the capacity within the same infrastructure. This entails increasing building floors to accomodate more beds. The expansion plan mainly includes increasing number of beds from 200 to 350, operation theatres from 5 to 12 and ICU beds from 60 to 105.”

Mr Soi added that they are also aiming at future aquisition of few such facilities in Nagpur but it will be a gradual process.

Alexis Hospital, established in 2016, only JCI-accredited hospital in the city, providing high-end tertiary care services such as Organ Transplant, Oncology (including Radiation), Neurology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology and diagnostics facilities under one roof.
