Nagpur: Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis is always in the news for one reason or another. Amruta Fadnavis is known for her outspoken stance against opposition leaders. At one occasion, she has targeted the opponents with an Ukhana (Rhyme).
This happened recently in Nagpur. On behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mahila Aghadi, South-West Division, organized a program called Haldi Kunku. Amruta Fadnavis was also present in the program. At that time, the attendees urged Amrita Fadnavis to take an Ukhana, a popular practice in Maharashtra during get-together programmes.
At this time, Amruta Fadnavis took to Ukhana to target the opponents: “देवेंद्रजींनी मारले नाकर्तेपणावर बाण आणि मी घेऊन आली विकासाचे वान, आपण सर्वांनी स्वीकारावे आणि एकत्र महाराष्ट्र करू निर्माण” (“Devendra ji shot the arrow on failures and I brought the gift of development, we should all accept it and build Maharashtra together”. At this time, the women present on the occasion applauded Amruta Fadnavis with loud cheers.
