Nagpur/Mumbai:Former Maharashtra Home Minister and NCP leader Anil Deshmukh recently made serious allegations against current Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Deshmukh claimed that Fadnavis’s intermediary had approached him with an affidavit intended to deceive Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray, but he refused to sign it. He also mentioned possessing a pen drive with crucial evidence.
In a recent press conference, Deshmukh revealed a photograph featuring Devendra Fadnavis and Samit Kadam, intensifying his accusations. Deshmukh alleged that Kadam and Fadnavis share a close relationship and that Kadam had visited him multiple times with the affidavit. Deshmukh claimed that if he had signed the affidavit, Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray would have been falsely imprisoned. He questioned why Kadam, who isn’t even a councilor, was given Z-category security, suggesting it was due to his close ties with Fadnavis.
Deshmukh further alleged that there was a concerted effort to falsely implicate Uddhav and Aaditya Thackeray. He stated, “There was immense pressure on me to support the accusations. Those who did not comply ended up in jail.” Deshmukh’s statements have sparked significant controversy and have added a new dimension to the ongoing political drama in Maharashtra.
