Nagpur News: The annual inter branch sports championship was conducted at Headquarters maintenance Command,Vayusena nagar, Nagpur recently. The championship was conducted with aim to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie amongst the personnel of Headquarters maintenance command and its lodger units while displaying their sportsmanship.

During the championship the teams competed keenly against each other in the disciplines of cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton and Lawn Tennis. The championship was declared open by Air Marshal Sukhchain Singh Vishisht Seva Medal, Senior Maintenance staff officer, Maintenance Command Indian Air Force. During the championship all teams displayed a healthy competitive spirit with a lot of enthusiasm.
The team of Air & Administrative branch emerged as overall champion of the year 2014. Air Marshal P.Kanakaraj Ati Vishisht Seva medal, Air officer commanding-in-chief, Maintenance command, IAF declared the championship is concluded. Trophies and medals were awarded to the winners and runners up of each discipline of the championship. The chief guest praised the sports staff and organizers for smooth conduct of the championship.
