Annual Social Gathering at Somalwar Ramdaspeth

Nagpur: Somalwar High School and Junior College’s Annual Social Gathering kicked off on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, with a ceremonial inauguration featuring Chief Guest Honorable Ms. Saumya Sharma Chandak, CEO of ZP Nagpur, and Guest of Honour IPS Archit Chandak from the Economic and Cyber Crime Department in Nagpur. The event commenced with a welcoming song, and Principal Mrs. Vaishali Dakhole delivered introductory remarks.

Addressing the students and parents gathered at Suresh Bhat Hall, Ms. Saumya Sharma Chandak encouraged active participation in the ‘Mazi Shala, Sunder Shala’ project initiated by the Honorable Chief Minister. She urged students to engage in social welfare activities alongside their academic pursuits, commending the school’s legacy of rapid innovation and growth. Ms. Chandak also provided guidance on preparing for the UPSC Examination, highlighting its significance in the school curriculum.

In a motivational session, Mr. Archit Chandak shared his personal journey of overcoming challenges to achieve the prestigious position of an IPS officer. He emphasized the importance of sacrifice in pursuing life goals, inspiring students with his own story. The power couple’s eloquent speeches left a lasting impact on the audience.

Dr. Seema Somalwar, a member of the Somalwar Education Society, presided over the event, and the student representative, Ku. Prawara Deshpande, presented the Annual Report. Meritorious students were honored during the prize distribution ceremony, with Management members including Vice President Shri. R.P. Somalwar, Secretary Shri. P.P. Somalwar, Jt. Secretary Dr. D.R. Pande, and Management Invitee Shri Venkatesh Somalwar in attendance.

The proceedings were skillfully conducted by Dr. Sonali Hinge, the Gathering President, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shubhra Roy. The event ended on a high note with the rendition of Pasaydaan, leaving the school community inspired and motivated for the academic year ahead.
