Nagpur: Localities from West and parts of South and Central Nagpur will receive low pressure and restricted water from Nov. 14 evening till Nov. 16 afternoon following yet another major breach that occurred in Right Bank Canal (RBC) of Navegaon Khari dam TODAY (Nov 13) .
It may be mentioned here once again a breach has occurred in Right bank Canal (RBC) at 7 Km from Navegaon-Khairy dam. The gates (to release water into the RBC) at the Navegaon-Khari Dam has been closed and water level in the canal is slowly receding.
The repair work of breach in canal by Irrigation Department is under progress and is expected to be completed soon. Due to this the potable water supply to the city will get adversely affected from Nov. 14 evening till Nov. 16 afternoon , morning as Pench-2 pumping is directly dependent on supply from Mahadula raw water pumping which gets water from RBC.
It may be mentioned here recently on Oct 31, a similar major breach in Right Bank Canal (RBC) of Navegaon Khari dam at 19Km from Navegaon-Khairy dam. The location of that breach was at Nimba village.
