Nagpur News: Rigved Telang and Anushka Chintawar clinched cadet boys and girls titles while Kadambari Bhandarkar and Ritwik Gupte emerged champions in sub-junior boys and girls section on the second day of Sudhir Shrivastava Memorial Shruti Club Open ranking Table Tennis Tournament at Dr Ambedkar College Sports Academy (DACSA) Hall on Sunday.
Cade girls final witnessed major upset when Anushka Chintawar surprised top seed Hariti Chavan 11-9, 7-11, 12-10, 11-9. Earlier in the semis, Anushka got the better of Arpita Sapre 11-9, 9-11, 11-9, 10-12, 14-12. Hariti Chavan entered the final defeating Disha Girdhar 11-4, 11-4, 11-7.
In th boys secton, Rigved Telang pipped Sarvesh Patil 4-11, 11-3, 11-8, 11-1. In the semis, Telang downed Sarvesh Bhartan 11-8, 9-11, 11-7, 11-9. Sarvesh Patil recorded 11-4, 11-5, 11-6 victory over Vedant Tembhre.

Ins sub-junior girls final, Kadambari Bhandarkar living up to her reputation quelled a challenge of Ruqaiyah Vali 11-8, 11-8, 7-11, 11-9. In the semis, Ruqaiyah sidalined Shravani Dakhale 11-6, 11-3, 11-4. Kadambari made a light work of Apoorva Bhagat 11-2, 11-8, 11-4. In the boys category, Ritvik Gupte clinched the title defeating Nayan Taori 11-4, 11-2, 11-5. Earlier in the semis, Taori shocked top seed Koustubh Udar 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, 11-2. Gupte eliminated Anshuman Naik 11-2, 11-6, 12-10.
