Nagpur: The Second Capital of Maharashtra experienced its coldest morning of the winter season so far on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature dropping to 13.5°C. The chilly winds and cloudy skies provided Nagpurians with a taste of winter, as the cold lingered until late morning.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the dip in temperature is attributed to favourable Northerly winds. These winds, originating from the Himalayan region, are carrying cooler air into central India, causing a significant drop in night time temperatures.
