Nagpur: Hudkeshwar Police have booked owners of an infrastructure company and a building contractor in connection with accidental death of a worker at the construction site. The worker Dinesh Manik Gaikwad (42), a resident of Plot No 39, Abhay Nagar, Vaishnavi Mata Society under the jurisdiction of Ajni Police Station, was throwing down the construction waste at an underconstruction eighth floor in Atharva Nagari-6 site under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station on July 20, 2023 morning. Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell off the under construction portion of the building. As he fell on his head, he sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.
Hudkeshwar Police had registered a case of accidental death, based on the information given by Kishor Sukhdeo Nile (60), a resident of Plot No 53/03, Sai Nagar, Hudkeshwar. During the investigations, the police found that builders or contractor concerned had not taken safety measures at the construction site.

Hence, the owners of Atharva Infrastructure Company namely Manoj Suramwar, Chandrakant Suramwar, Narendra Mallewar, Rahul Mallewar, Raju Chhanwar, Raju Waghmare, and other contractors related to construction, have been booked under Section 304 (2) of the IPC.
