In a really bizarre incident, some accused had smashed the head of a 25-year-old youth in front of Smruti Talkies near hotel Tuli International late in the night on February 9, 2015.
According to police sources, the youth has been identified as Naveen Kewalsingh Chutele aged 25 years and a resident of Quarter No 45/ Type II, CPWD Colony, Katol Road. On receipt of information, the Police personnel of Sadar Police Station rushed to the spot. Preliminary investigations revealed that some unidentified accused had allegedly smashed his head with concrete stone piece.

The cops had rushed him to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (Mayo) where he is undergoing treatment.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the mother of the victim, Sangeeta Kewalsingh Chutele aged 41 years Assistant Police Inspector Shirke of Sadar Police Station has registered a case under section 307 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified accused and has started investigations.
However, there were many rumours that took rounds during the night including one that said that a girl has been murdered in Sadar.
