New Delhi: India’s self-made multi-millionaire Baba Ramdev’ and famous Yoga guru is all set to enter the telecom sector by launching ‘Swadeshi Samriddhi’ SIM card in partnership with BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited).
Patanjali branded products, one of India’s most trusted FMCG brand has now tied up with telecommunications company BSNL.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Ramdev said government-owned BSNL is a “Swadeshi network” and the motive of both Patanjali and BSNL is same, which is the welfare of the country.
“There are five lakh counters of BSNL and from there people can soon get Patanjali Swadeshi Samriddhi card,” Ramdev said.
With the recharge of Rs 144, you can make unlimited calls across the country, get 2 GB data and send 100 SMSs.
Initially, only Patanjali employees will be able to avail the benefits of the SIM card. After its full-fledged launch, over the coming months, ordinary citizens will be able to get discount of 10 per cent on Patanjali products with the Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card, claim reports.
Not just telecom service and Patanjali product discounts, but people will also get health, accidental and life insurance on the Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card. Baba Ramdev said that in addition to attractive data and call package, the card also comes with Rs 2.5 lakh medical and Rs 5 lakh life insurance cover — only to be availed in the case of road accident.
Sunil Garg, BSNL Chief General Manager, was also present here and praised the tie-up of Patanjali and BSNL.
