Balya Borkar takes charge as NIT Trusty, too

Nagpur News: The newly elected Chairman of Standing Committee Narendra (Balya) Borkar took the charge of a Trusty of Nagpur Improvement Trust in a function organized on Tuesday (March 4).

The programme was presided over by Mayor Anil Sole while chief guests were East Nagpur MLA and City BJP President Krishna Khopde, Central Nagpur MLA Vikas Kumbhare, West Nagpur MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh, NIT Trusty and Senior Corporator Ravindra (Chhotu) Bhoyar, Chairman of Water Works Committee Sudhakar Kohale, Chairman of Medical and Health Committee Ramesh Singare, former Chairman of Standing Committee and NIT Trusty Avinash Thakre, and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Balya Borkar said, “I am a common worker of BJP. With the blessings and trust of East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde, I have reached to this position. East Nagpur is an area of unauthorized layouts. I will soon convene a meeting of concerned officials and MLAs and will try to resolve all problems being faced by the citizens. I will fulfill my responsibility as Chairman of Standing Committee and also give full justice to the post of NIT Trusty. I am grateful to Nitin Gadkari for the position I am presently standing at,” Borkar said.

The Mayor Anil Sole, MLAs Khopde, Kumbhare, Deshmukh, former Standing Committee Chairman Avinash Thakre and others also spoke on the occasion and extended their good wishes to Balya Borkar. Corporator Prakash Totwani offered bouquet and extended good wishes to Mayor Sole on his birthday. Balya Borkar’s wife and sons were also present on the occasion.
