Bank of India Manager of Ernakulam ends life in city

A 51-year-old Nareschandra Wagre, Manager at Bank of India at Ernakulam in Kerala, committed suicide by hanging himself at his bank colony quarters in Bhagwan Nagar on Tuesday night. Wagre’s son Pratik, 16, had gone to call him for morning tea when he found his hanging body to the ceiling fan at his room on Wednesday morning.

His family informed that Wagre had met with accident a month before and has suffered head injury. Since then, he was mentally disturbed. He had come to the city with his family for treatment.  Cops informed that Wagre was undergoing depression due to his illness and thus might have taken extreme step.

Ajni police shifted the body for post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and has registered a case of an accidental death. Police said that no suicide note was found from Wagre’s room.  Wagre hailed from Ernakulam in Kerala.
