Nagpur: In a recent survey conducted by News Arena India, aimed at determining the best State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Chandrashekhar Bawankule has emerged as the clear winner. Bawankule secured a significant percentage of the votes, outshining his competitors and earning the recognition of the majority of the surveyed participants.
The survey conducted by News Arena India sought to gauge public opinion on the performance and popularity of various BJP State Presidents across India. A total of 51,422 voters were surveyed by the News Arena India agency to gather insights into the preferences of the electorate.
Out of the total number of voters surveyed, Chandrashekhar Bawankule garnered an impressive 44.6 percent of the votes, establishing himself as the top choice for the best State President of the BJP. His substantial lead in the survey reflects the level of public support and approval he enjoys among the electorate.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule’s victory in the survey highlights his effectiveness and appeal as a State President of the BJP. Among other Best State BJP Presidents, CR Patil polled 13.3%, Annamalai 41.1% and Samrat Chaudhary 0.9% votes.
It is pertinent to recall, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who belongs to the OBC community, was appointed Maharashtra BJP President in August 2022. Bawankule was serving as the General Secretary in the state organisation. The party’s decision to pick him for the coveted post was to expand and consolidate its outreach within the OBC. Bawankule belongs to the Teli community, which comes under the OBC category.
The three-term MLA from Kamptee constituency in Nagpur district, Bawankule was also a Nagpur Zilla Parishad member before getting elected to the Assembly. A low profile leader, Bawankule won the Legislative Council polls in December 2021.
