Nagpur: D D Sontakke, President, Dhobi Samaj Mahasang and Vice-President, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) Nagpur district was injured as the Innova car he was travelling in met with a mishap between Karnja Lad and village Kherda. The mishap occurred on early hours of Tuesday, the police said.

Other office-bearers of Dhobi Samaj Mahasang accompanying Sontakke also sustained injuries in the accident. The names of the injured were given as Rukesh Motikar, Bhayyaji Rohankar and Pundalik Motikar.
According to sources, Sontakke had gone to Nashik on Monday to attend a programme. On way back to Nagpur, the vehicle met with a mishap between Karnja Lad and Kherda village at around 5.30am. Fortunately no causalities were reported in the incident.
