Nagpur: A major controversy has erupted at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University after Dr. Kalpana Pandey, the President of the University Education Forum, alleged that former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Subhash Chaudhary was wrongfully suspended based on false accusations by certain individuals within the institution.
Conflict Reaches a Boiling Point at Nagpur University
Dr. Pandey, a BJP leader herself, has called for legal action against BJP MLA Praveen Datke and other members of the university’s management council. She accused them of making false allegations against the university’s involvement with MKCL, a company hired for examination work, and tarnishing the university’s reputation. Her demand for action against her own party members has intensified the ongoing conflict within the university.
Dr. Pandey stated that the suspended Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Subhash Chaudhary, was innocent and had been wrongfully accused and defamed by certain individuals with malicious intent. She urged the state government to take legal action against those responsible for the false allegations.
Dr. Pandey emphasized that the work given to MKCL was entirely within the rules and was assigned by the management council, not by Dr. Chaudhary himself. She reminded everyone that members associated with the BJP were part of this decision-making process.
The false accusations made by BJP MLA Praveen Datke and members of the university’s management council have not only defamed the university but also affected thousands of students. Dr. Kalpana Pandey has demanded that legal action be taken against those who falsely accused Dr. Subhash Chaudhary.
