Voter Turnout and Performance
Nagpur saw an increase of 180,000 new voters in 2024. The BJP’s vote tally increased in East (+5,862 votes), Central (+559), and North (+2,410) compared to 2019. Conversely, Congress improved its vote count in five segments but saw a decrease in Central Nagpur.

Political analysts note that Vikas Thakre’s performance for Congress was significantly better than Nana Patole’s in 2019. Veteran leader Vilas Muttemwar had predicted a higher vote count for Thakre, and this prediction held true. Congress’ performance improved markedly:

South-West: +14,987 votes
South: +11,324 votes
East: +7,871 votes
West: +16,174 votes
North: +25,715 votes

Despite traditionally lagging in North Nagpur, the BJP made a notable improvement, adding 2,410 votes more than in the 2019 elections.
