Body found floating in Ambazari lake; another man succumbs at IGGMCH

Dead bodies of two men including a youth were recovered in separate localities on Tuesday. In the first case under Ambazari police station, a dead body of 22-year-old youth, identified as Ghanshyam Ukre was found floating in Ambazari lake on Tuesday at around 3.45 pm. Someone informed Ambazari police after which a case of accidental death has been registered in this regard.

Police said that Ghanshyam, a resident of Bhandewadi, Sai Nagar, Pardi could have gone for bath in the lake and drowned. His family members have been informed. The body was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.

In another case a body was found in Ganeshpeth locality on June 6. The man was undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Government College and Hospital (IGGMCH), succumbed on Tuesday.

Reports said 30-year-old Vaishali Nagar resident Vishal Shende was found in an unconscious state on June 6 in front of Tata Parsi Girls’ High school. He was admitted to IGGMCH for treatment. He died during the treatment.

Ganeshpeth police have registered a case of accidental death and started their investigations.
