Booty worth Rs 2 lakh stolen from house at Kaushalya Nagar; family discovers theft later

Ground slipped off the feet for Choudhary family when unidentified thieves silently made their way into their house at Kaushalya Nagar under Ajni police station and swept away with the booty worth Rs 2.01 lakh. Interestingly, the family members were at home when the incident took place. Police said however, the theft was committed sometime between March 30 and April 7, but the members came to know of this on Monday.

Aparna Sukhnandan Choudhary (40), a resident of Kaushalya Nagar, near Maitri Buddha Vihar was present at home with all her family members between March 30 and April 7, informed police sources. Aparna reportedly discovered the theft on Monday and was stunned to find the booty worth Rs 2.01 lakh missing from the locker.

Aparna lodged a complaint with Ajni police station who registered an offence under Sections 380 of the IPC against the thieves.
