Nagpur News: In the two house-breaking cases the thieves struck in a big way in different localities in Nagpur.
In the first incident, according to police, one Ramasre Ramdin Yadav (42), a resident of Sai Nagar undere Lakadganj Police Station, had gone to his native place Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh on June 1. The burglars in a sort of awaiting opportunity, hit his house by breaking open the door lock and succeeded in sweeping the jewellery and a cash of Rs 25,000 the booty collectively worth Rs 2,07,000. When Ramasre returned to Nagpur and went to his house, the door with broke open lock jolted him to the core, and he also found the bounty being stolen. Ramasre Ramdin Yadav reached the Lakadganj Police Station and lodged a complaint in this regard. The police have registered an offence of theft and are probing the matter further.
In the second incident of theft, the criminals struck at the house one Chandrashekhar Umrikar, originally Aurangabad resident but now staying at Flat No. 301(A), Jueely Apartment, Saraswati Vihar, Pratap Nagar, Nagpur. Chandrashekhar and his family was out of station on June 5 “giving” an opportunity to the burglars to strike at his house. And, the thieves, struck too. They relieved the house and Chandrashekhar also of gold jewellery and a cash of Rs 8,000 collectively valued at Rs 1,41,000. The goons, not satisfied with Chandrashekhar’s booty, also tried to strike at Flat No. 301(B) exactly in front of his flat but could not succeed in their efforts and left the place making Chandrashekhar unlucky and the neighbor the most luckey.
On return Chandrashekhar completed the formalities of lodging a complaint with Pratap Nagar Police Station. And in return, the police also completed their formalities by registering an offence against the accused burglars.
