Nagpur: Unidentified burglar(s) smashed dicky of a scooter parked in the busy Tehsil area and took away cash of Rs 2.17 lakh and signed cheques of a bank. Cops have mounted a search to nab the burglars.
The victim Mahendra Mohanlal Madan (55), resident of Plot No. 99, Devashish Apartment, Ramdaspeth, had gone to Tehsil area and parked his Access scooter there.
The bag containing cash of Rs 2.17 lakh and signed cheques of Dena Bank was kept in the dicky of the scooter. When Mahendra got busy in his work, the unidentified burglar(s) broke open the dicky and decamped the bag containing the booty.
Tehsil API L B Chavan has registered a case under Section 379 and is searching the offenders.
