Nagpur: Burglars struck at two houses in different areas and decamped with gold-silver jewelleries worth around Rs 3 lakh.
In the first incident, house of Sudhakar Baburao Waghmare (47) in Take-off City, Umred Road, was targeted between 5 am and 5.30 pm on Thursday when he had gone to his duty. The miscreants broke open the front door lock and gained entry in the house. Once inside, the thieves laid their hands on gold-silver ornaments worth Rs 1.32 lakh. Hudkeshwar PSI J Y Sheikh has booked the unidentified burglars under Sections 454, 380 of IPC and searching for them.
Similarly, when the 69-year old Vishwas Vasantrao Deo, resident of Canal Road, Dharampeth, had gone out of station, the goons entered his house around 10.30 pm by bending rods of window of bedroom. The gold-silver ornaments worth Rs 1.63 lakh kept in an almirah were stolen.
Sitabuldi PSI Nagre has registered a case under Sections 357, 380 of IPC and probing the matter further.
