Nagpur: In a distressing incident reported from the Sharda Nagar area, within the jurisdiction of the Hudkeshwar Police Station, thieves capitalized on a family’s absence during their satsang, making away with gold ornaments collectively valued at Rs 4.5 lakh.
According to police reports, Vaibhav Pundalikrao Malokar (28), an employee at Cipla Pharmaceuticals, had departed for Khapari on March 9 with his family to participate in a satsang. Exploiting the opportunity, the burglars gained entry into the residence by breaking the door lock. The stolen items included jewelry, cash, clothing, and other valuables stored in the cupboard, comprising shirts, pants, and sarees.
The incident remained undetected until Vaibhav and his family returned on the morning of March 11, discovering the theft upon their arrival. Promptly, Vaibhav filed a complaint with the Hudkeshwar Police.
Authorities have initiated a case of burglary, underscoring the importance of heightened security measures, especially during periods of absence, to deter such criminal activities.
