Nagpur: Rana Pratap Nagar police reported an incident where unidentified thieves targeted the residence of Dr. Sanjay Bhaurao Ugemuge, a well-known ENT specialist and social worker. Exploiting the absence of the family, who were engrossed in their son’s wedding in Mumbai, the burglars entered the house and made away with gold ornaments and cash totaling Rs three lakh.
Dr. Ugemuge’s residence, situated in the Indraprastha Nagar housing society in Swawlambi Nagar, became the target between January 25 and 31. Taking advantage of the ongoing celebrations, the thieves, who gained unauthorized access by tampering with the door lock, rifled through cupboards, making off with gold and silver ornaments, two watches, Visas, and dollars.

The incident was discovered upon Dr. Ugemuge’s return from Mumbai, prompting the Rana Pratap Nagar Police to register a case under Sections 454, 457, and 380 of the Indian Penal Code.”
