A campus recruitment drive by IBM Global Process Services was conducted for final year students of BBA, BCCA, BCA and MCM at Centre Point College, Nagpur on 15th December 2012.
Head Academics Mrs. Sulbha Oke welcomed the panel. She guided all the students to exhibit their talents in a polite and honest way. She wished all the participating CPC’ians to become successful future employees of IBM.
Mr. Satyesh Pati, Assistant manager HR, IBM in his key note address, explained about the company, its growth, the job opportunities, the growth aspects for an employee and the allowances. Since 1992, IBM is constantly expanding its footprint in India – and has a presence in over 200 cities and towns across the country – either directly or through its strong business partner network. IBM India has clearly established itself as one of the leaders in the Indian IT Industry and continues to transform itself to align with global markets to attain this leadership position globally. Their clients list includes prestigious clients giving a business of more than 10 Million dollars to the Company.
After rigorous selection rounds, total 18 students were selected for placements at Pune and Gurgaon out of which 5 were selected for ‘Voice Domestic’ and 13 were selected for ‘Voice International’. The selected candidates have to undergo training of 19-24 weeks at IBM’s Training Center located at Pune After successful completion of training the candidates will be put on probation for one year. Ms. Isha Mundhada, lecturer in BBA, managed the event successfully. Ms. Minal Lanjewar, lecturer in BCCA proposed vote of thanks.
During the pre-recruitment drive preparations, Mr Milind Apte, Senior BBA Faculty member at Centre Point College gave important guidelines to the participants which were of great help to them during the entire selection process.
