Captain Amarinder Singh sworn in as Punjab CM.

Congress party biggies are at the swearing in ceremony. This is the only government the party has been able to form in the just-held five state elections.

Dr Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Ajay Maken, Raj Babbar, Sidhu (who is likely to be cabinet minister, but may not be the deputy CM), are at the ceremony at Raj Bhavan.

Captain’s cabinet team will also include Manpreet Singh Badal, the estranged nephew of outgoing Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Manpreet Badal was finance minister in the Badal government of the Akali Dal before he drifted away and launched the People’s Party of Punjab, which later merged with the Congress.
