Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that the attacks on churches in the state won’t be tolerated and strict action would be taken against the offenders.
Three unidentified men hurled stones inside a church compound in New Panvel, Navi Mumbai late Saturday night. The attackers also damaged the glass enclosure of the statue of Saint George.
CCTV footage showed three bike borne men speeding away after throwing stones at the St George Catholic Church. The church authorities reportedly said that the attackers could not be identified as they had hidden their faces.

As per reports, a case has been registered at the Khandeshwar police station and investigation is on into the matter. However, no one has been arrested so far.
