Nagpur: District Collector Sachin Kurvey has appealed the citizens not to fall prey to dubious persons (middlemen) and instead directly approach Setu centres or designated website for procuring all necessary certificates and other documents. The Collector’s Office has brought transparency in almost all works in accordance with the recently passed Right to Services (RTS) Act, declared the Collector.
The Collector presented several facts coming under the RTS by saying that the documents prepared by by Setu Centers have to be completed within stipulated period of one week. The work was not only completed within the period but the certificates and other documents were handed over to the concerned people within time, said Sachin Kurve. He further said that on October 26, 76 applications were received by Setu Centers and all the necessary certificates were handed over to the applicants within stipulated period without any difficulties. On October 30, out of 152 applications, 141 applicants received their required documents within time, stated the District Collector.
The Collector further said that the Setu Centers have now been assigned the work of issuing Town Planning Department’s mutation certificates and the stipulated period fixed for handing over the certificates is one month. The Department, in the last month, received 227 applications out of which 154 applications were settled down and those who did not receive the certificates were due to some technical snags. Such persons were informed about the same through SMS messages, said Kurve.
“In the coming days, the Anuja (Go Ahead) certificates for setting up industries in industrial areas would be issued under Right to Services Act as well,” declared the District Collector.
