Class XI admission list to be displayed on June 27 in Nagpur

Nagpur: The list of students who got admissions in Class XI in various colleges will be displayed on Thursday, June 27. The Central Admission Committee is conducting the admissions in Nagpur region. The admission process started on June 5. Students were supposed to fill Application Part 1 and Part 2. The application filling concluded on June 15.

After the scrutiny of the applications, the list of students eligible was declared on June 18. The committee had given time to students and parents till June 21 to fill the applications. The committee was given a time period of June 22 to June 26 to correct the list. Now on June 27, the final list of students will be declared with an allotment of the colleges to them. Students will have to confirm their admissions in their respective colleges by July 1.

There are 7,700 seats in Arts stream, 26,710 seats in Science stream, 3,080 seats in MCVC, and 15,660 in Commerce. Last year, over 20,000 seats remained vacant. This year, Nagpur Division has bettered its result by 2.23%. It means more students will compete for the seats. There are a few colleges in Nagpur division for each stream which are opted by students, because of which most colleges face the vacancy.

According to experts, this year too colleges may face the issue of vacancy. There are 53,150 seats available in all streams and mediums. For the admissions under quota seats, students can apply online through their login. The bifurcation of quota is minority quota – 50% for the minority colleges. It will not be applicable in nonminority institutions. Non-minority and minority both institutions will each have a 10% in-house quota and 5% management quota. There will be a separate schedule for filling up the seats under various quotas.
