Class XI admissions: Registration process to begin from May 25

Nagpur: The Directorate of Education, Maharashtra State, has announced the schedule for Class XI admissions. The registration process will start from May 25. The registrations will continue till the declaration of results of SSC (Class 10 State Board).

Considering the complicated process, the Directorate has planned to provide training to students, parents, teachers of junior colleges etc. To make students aware of the process, a mock demo registration will be held between May 20 and May 24. The actual registrations will start from May 25, along with verification of the information filled up by the students at the schools and authorised counselling centres. This will be treated as Part 1 of the process. In Part 2, filling up of option forms under Centralised Admission Process (CAP) will be held. It will begin after the declaration of SSC results, continuing till five days.

The admissions under reserved quota will start after the declaration of SSC results for the next five days. The bifurcation of quota is minority quota (50%), in-house quota (10%), management quota (5%). There will be a separate schedule for filling up the seats under various quotas. CAP Round-1 will be conducted for 10-15 days after SSC results, Round2, Round-3 for 7-9 days. CAP Special Round-1 will be conducted for 7-8 days (reservation is not applicable). CAP Special Round 2 will be conducted for one week.

If needed, special rounds will be conducted for the students who failed to get admissions, the timetable for the same would be declared later on. The Directorate has made it clear that the admission process would be completed by August 2023.
