CMRS inspects Majhi Metro’s Aqua Line

Nagpur: The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) Janak Kumar Garg and his team on Wednesday carried out inspection of Reach-3 of Nagpur Metro, popularly known as ‘Aqua Line.

On the first day of three-day inspection of Majhi Metro project, the CMRS visited Metro Depot at Hingna and Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station. The team inspected Rolling Stock Room, Daily Report, Train Well Machine, Depot Control Room, Metro Route Map, Signalling, Train Moving Plan and other parameters of Nagpur Metro.

At the outset, officials of Nagpur Metro apprised the CMRS about Aqua Line project. After the briefing, the CMRS inspected important documents and the Rolling Stock. Later, emergency doors and other safety gadgets of Nagpur Metro were inspected. Janak Kumar Garg discussed with Depot officials and employees about Rolling Stock operation. During the discussion, Maha Metro Managing Director Dr Brujesh Dixit, and officials of Hingna Depot made presentation on Rolling Stock and passenger facilities.

The CMRS reviewed all the facilities being provided to the passengers. Garg also inspected the available facilities at Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station. Facilities at other Metro Stations will be inspected on Thursday.

During the inspection visit, other officials present include Metro Director (Project) Mahesh Kumar, Director (Rolling Stock) Sunil Mathur, Director (Finance) S Shivmathan and other officials.
