Commercial LPG cylinder price hiked by Rs 7, to cost Rs 1829 in Nagpur

Nagpur: Price of commercial LPG gas, used by hotels and restaurants, was increased by Rs 7 per 19-kg cylinder in the monthly revision done in line with international oil price trends. The new prices will take effect from August 1, 2024. Now, the commercial LPG cylinder price in Nagpur will be Rs 1829.

While fixing the price of these cylinders for the month of July, the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) had cut Rs 31 per cylinder and thus it was available at a price of Rs 1,822. In June, its price was Rs 1853. However, giving respite to domestic category 14.2 kg LPG consumers, the OMCs made no changes in the prices for the month of August. These cylinders will continue its previous level of Rs 854.50 in Nagpur.

It is important to note that OMCs – Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) – revise the prices of cooking gas on the first day of every month based on the average price of benchmark international fuel and foreign exchange rate.

Prices vary from state to state according to the incidence of local taxes.
