Shooter Om Prakash Mitharval won bronze in 50m Pistol Men’s Finals for India on Wednesday at the Commonwealth Games 2018 in Australia’s Gold Coast. He registered a score of 201.1 in the final. On the other hand, Jitu Rai finished eighth in the event. He registered a decidedly below par 105.
India’s medal tally is now up to 23, including 11 gold, four silver and seven bronze.
Earlier on April 9, Mitharval bagged a bronze in men’s 10m air pistol event. Jitu Rai shot 235.1 to comfortably finish top of the podium.
Australia’s Kerry Bell managed to secure the silver medal with 233.5.
