For this favour, the accused took Rs 1.09 lakh from Sunita. But the admission was never done and thus Sunita was duped of Rs 1.09 lakh. Similarly, the accused Ronald assured another woman Nirmala Shivprasad Gaur (64), an acquaintance of Sunita, and assured her of purchasing a house for her. With this bogus assurance, the accused took Rs 9.05 lakh from Nirmala from time to time. The accused neither purchased house for Nirmala nor returned her money. Thus the accused Ronald D’souza cheated both the women to the tune of Rs 10.14 lakh.

Ganeshpeth PSI Ingle, based on a complaint, booked the accused Ronald D’souza under Sections 420, 406 of the IPC and launched a probe.
