Nagpur: The city unit of Congress, led by President Vikas Thakre, on Wednesday took out a morcha against steep rise in prices of petrol, diesel and domestic gas cylinders. The leaders and activists shouted slogans against Modi Government and said the Centre was torturing the common people with rocketing prices of fuel.
Later, the Congress leaders and workers marched to the Office of District Collector and staged agitation. The party submitted a memorandum to Collector Ashwin Mudgal demanding reduction in prices of petrol, diesel and domestic gas cylinders and providing relief to hassled consumers.
The morcha was part of nation-wide protest announced by Congress leadership.
