Nagpur: Congress candidate Rashmi Barve and Raju Parve, the candidate of Mahayuti (Shinde-led Shiv Sena) filed their nomination papers for Ramtek Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday.
Parve was accompanied by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, NCP leader Praful Patel, State BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule and others.
Rashmi Barve was accompanied by ex-minister Sunil Kedar, Congress District President Rajendra Mulak, Convenor of Campaign Committee Nana Gawande, former minister and senior leader of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Ramesh Bang
Earlier, Rashmi Barve and other leaders reached Samvidhan Square and garlanded statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Though Barve has filed her papers, she is still facing the issue of her caste validation, being inspected by the Ministry of Social Justice of Maharashtra. A complaint has been lodged against her alleging that her caste documents are false.
