Conman dupes 6 youths by ‘promising’ them jobs in Ordnance Factory, arrested

Nagpur: A con man, posing as Mechanical Engineer in Ordnance Factory Ambazari, cheated six job seeking youths to the Rs 60,000 by promising them permanent employment as car drivers in the Factory. The accused has been arrested.

A resident of Plot No. 783, Vinoba Bhave Nagar, near Nagsen Nagar, Mohd Juned Sheikh, told police that the accused Rohit Ashok Kangore (30), resident of Chandan Nagar, Imambada, posed himself as Mechanical Engineer working on Ordnance Factory Ambazari.

The accused Kangore ‘promised’ Mohd Sheikh and his five friends permanent jobs of car drivers in the Ordnance Factory. With this ‘promise,’ the accused Rohit Kangore took Rs 10,000 each from Mohd Sheikh and his five friends but no job was provided to them in the Ordnance Factory.

Yashodhara Nagar ASI Chandrashekhar, based on complaint of Mohd Sheikh, booked the accused Rohit Kangore under Sections 420, 465, 468, 471 of the IPC and arrested him. Further probe is underway.
