Nagpur: Beltarodi Police in Nagpur arrested four goons for attempting to kill four friends after an argument with them over a trivial issue recently.
The accused have been identified as Ayush Pawan Shende (21), a resident of Plot No 72, Dhadiwal Layout, Suyog Nagar, Ajni; Prajwal Ashish Kamble (21), Saurabh Sunil Zodape (28) and Saurabh Bhimrao Dofe (27), all residents of Kachore Patil Nagar, Chinchbhuvan.
With serious injuries, Rohit Shankar Ramteke (27), a resident of Bahadura, Kartik Rajesh Jaiswal (23), Abhishek Raju Bhalavi (23), both residents of Narsala, and Aman Jitendra Shinde (23), a resident of Ganeshpeth, are now battling for their lives at the trauma centre of Government Medical College & Hospital.
According to police, Tasheek Kishor Dhurve (20), a resident of Plot No 71, Shiv Nagar, Nandanvan, and his friends Rohit, Kartik, Abhishek, Aman and two others had gone to Highway Nest Mini Restaurant near Panjri Toll Post, Wardha Road, on separate motorbikes. Around 11 pm, accused Ayush, Prajwal, Saurabh and Saurabh Dofe, who came in a Maruti Brezza SUV (MH49/CD-4440), clashed with them over a petty issue. When Tasheek, Rohit, Kartik, Abhishek, Aman and two of their friends left the place on their bikes, the accused quartet chased them in the SUV.
Near Mauli turning point on Amravati-Jabalpur highway, the accused hit their motorcycles from behind injuring Rohit, Kartik, Abhishek and Aman seriously. They then tried to mow them down with the SUV. Following a complaint lodged by Tasheek, police registered a case under Sections 307 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code against the anti-socials.
Further investigations are underway.
Man murdered in Teka Naka
A man named Mangesh Mendhe was brutally done to death near Teka Naka in Kapil Nagar area in the small hours of Saturday. Reports said, cops took the suspect, Rahul Ramteke into custody. It is learnt that the cops confiscated the weapon from the suspect. However, no details were available till the filing of this report.
