Cops arrest three goons for abducting youth for extortion money

Nagpur News : In a much dramatic and filmy case, three miscreants were arrested for demanding extortion money from complainant and later abducting and assaulting him.

Ajni police have taken three of the five goons into custody after the complainant managed to escape from goons’ clutches.

Police have identified the accused as Amar Rameshrao Lohkare (24), a resident of Plot no. 63, Amar Nagar, Shesh Nagar; Bablu alias Shubham Fulzele, a resident of Rambagh; Lalit Thakre (23), a resident of Vishwakarma Nagar; Yogesh  alias Yoga Ganesh Akode (22), a resident of 168, old Balaji Nagar; and Shrikant alias Mama Chintaman Ingole (29), a resident of Plot No. 07, Bajrang Nagar, Jadumahal Chowk.

Police said, the complainant Mohan Arun Sharma (23) is a native of Takalghat, Hingna and is a resident of Maa Bhavani Nagar, Plot no. 98, Shesh Nagar, Hudkeshwar Road.

For past year, the accused have been demanding Rs 1.50 lakh or 10% share from the house deal Mohan had cracked earlier at Madhur Paan Bhandar, Bajrang Nagar, Manewada Road.

The accused threatened Manoj but he did not succumb to their demands. However, later the accused attacked him with iron rods and threatened to kill him if the extortion money was not delivered on time. Scared Mohan paid Rs 50,000 but the accused abducted him for the remaining Rs 1 lakh and kept him in their possession for four days in Amar Lohkare’s house. They threatened and thrashed Mohan brutally. They also took into possession the Xerox registry papers of the plot.

The accused later barged into Mohan parents’ house in the village and threatened them of Mohan’s life if the money was not delivered on time.

Meanwhile, Mohan somehow managed to escape from their custody. On Saturday, he managed to reach Ajni police station and filed a complaint against the five accused. Making a swift move in the case, cops immediately got into action and were successful in arresting Amar, Yogesh and Shrikant. Cops slapped charges under Sections 364 (a), 387, 294 and 34 of the IPC. However, cops have launched a massive search for the remaining two accused.
