Cops book three for duping girl

Nagpur: Hudkeshwar Police have registered a case of cheating against three persons. The three accused on pretext of getting admission in engineering college duped a girl student of Rs 75,000.

According to police sources, one Priya Raju Bankar, resident of Juni Basti Manewada Road who was seeking admission in engineering college and was approached by accused Omprakash Pimlapure, Dinesh Singh Bais and Tushar in July 2017. They promised her admission in the engineering college and asked her to get Rs 75,000. She gave them the money but did not get admission. When she asked for money Dinesh Singh Bais gave her a cheque of Rs 75,000 which was dishonoured. So she lodged a complaint in Hudkeshwar police station. Priya told the police that the three of them had contacted her through a friend.

The accused promised to get her admission in Yeshwantrao Chavan Engineering College, Hingna. She gave them money. She said that the accused took the money from her by calling here in Shivaji Colony, Flat No. 51 in Neelkanth Nagar. Then they gave her a fake receipt. When Priya went to the college she came to know that she was cheated. She asked the accused persons they gave her evading answer. She asked for her money and Dinesh gave her a cheque which bounced. Soon after this she lodged a complaint with the police. Police are investigating into the matter.
