Nagpur : Mankapur Police have launched a search for a youth accused of allegedly sexually exploiting a girl under the pretext of marriage. The accused, identified as Naman Vinod Sangotra (22), resides in Dwivedi Colony, Gorewada Road, Gittikhadan.
According to the complaint filed by the 22-year-old victim, Naman befriended her and subsequently took her to a hotel where he allegedly established a physical relationship with her, promising to marry her. The victim stated that this exploitation occurred between July 13, 2013, and February 4, 2024.
Afterwards, Naman reportedly abandoned her and issued threats of severe consequences if she disclosed any details about their relationship.
In response to the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against Naman under Sections 376, 376(2)(n), 506, 323, and 504 of the Indian Penal Code, and initiated a search operation to apprehend him.
