Nagpur: Since it being the last day of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly the leader of opposition Radhkrihna Vikhe Patil, NCP leader Ajit Pawar and others raised many burning problem of the State and gave suggestions too.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis replying to questions over police department’s working said, the opposition should not keep harping upon crime capital because it might have a bad effect and the investor would not like to come to Nagpur.
About Munna yadav the CM said that there was no earlier case against him. He said, police action would be taken against him for the crimes registered against him. And he would be nabbed. He informed, the criminal close to Jayant Patil would be made public and a will be registered under MOCA act. He also said action be taken against those uploading objectionale pictures and statements.
Informing about the modernisation of the police, he said that many important schemes are going on. He said citizens can lodge e-FIRs, e-complaints get response from the police station concerned and ensure that no complaint goes unattended. Maharashtra Police Citizen Portal and App has been developed to empower people and lend transparency to police administration.
The Chief Minister said that Maharashtra Police are putting in sincere efforts by taking innovative schemes to bring down the crime rate in the Nagpur. As a part of this initiative,he said,the police have developed the App. Fadnavis said, Maharashtra is the first state in the country to implement Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS). He said that for the police 818 Van has been bought.
He said, the statistics in ‘Crime in -2016’ proves, the overall crime rate has gone down in the state and the rate of conviction has increased. Informing of the Nagpur crime rate he said that as per the survey conducted by by the Tirpude college in 2017 the crime rate has come down as compared to 2011-12.
Talking about the police housing scheme he said that the police employees will get loan 200 times there basic salary. The housing has been proposed in phases. There are 26 projects for tenders will be floated.
About the Naxalites, he said that 66 naxals have been nabbed, 7 have surrendered and 7 have been killed by police.
In Gadchiroli mining and industries has been started, he said.
