Three cousins stabbed a 20-year-old youth over old rivalry on alleged property dispute on near Shri Ram Wadi garden on Wednesday afternoon. Shubham Harode, a resident of Prem Nagar, Narayan Peth, was stabbed to death in full public view by his cousins.
Lakadganj police has booked three suspected people- Aakash, Sagar and Suraj, for murder offence but are yet to arrest any of them.
Harode, who owned a furnace business at Pilli Nadi, leaves behind mother Hemaya, sister Poonam and brother Ankit.
While police are yet to investigate the exact reason behind the murder, cops suspect an old rivalry over property dispute between Harode and his cousin might have led to the killing.
Cops informed that few months ago, Harode had a fight with his cousins over property dispute.
The incident took place after Harode left home to meet a friend and was on his way to Shri Ram Wadi when his cousin intercepted him. After a short argument, the three armed youths attacked him till he fell unconscious.
